Military Women's Coalition (MWC)

OUR committee

Our Massachusetts Military Women’s Coalition (MWC) was established in 2021 by the Women’s Mentorship and Empowerment Committee of the Veteran Association of the First Corps of Cadets

OUR MISSION

Through mentorship and empowerment, enable military women to navigate service within a male dominated profession more effectively and provide women with the required support to strive for and thrive in leadership positions. The group will deliberately engage, support, and develop military women and women veterans in the profession of arms, with a specific focus on further advancing our women of color’s representation throughout the ranks. By fostering a safe space to build connection, the group will guide military women personally and professionally through educational, confidence enhancing, and informative events that challenge, inspire, and provide developmental opportunities.

Our Approach

Create a formal means for women in leadership positions to directly engage, mentor, and empower junior military women. Women make up approximately 18% of the military force and finding a women mentor in many units can prove to be difficult. We host no pressure networking events outside of the military to connect women and provide them with the tools, resources, and support needed to continue their service and develop into transformational leaders.

  • Individual and Group Mentoring

  • Leadership Training

  • Team / Trust Building Activities

  • Confidence building exercises
