A compilation of stories from World War II, when 1,800 Soldiers of the 211th Coast Artillery Regiment (First Corps of Cadets) deployed to Vallejo, California. Welcomed with open arms at the onset of the war, their good looks, Army green uniforms, east coast charm, and Bostonian accents captured the hearts of the local citizens. Many FCC Soldiers would eventually return to Vallejo to marry, raise families, and start new civilian careers. The author, a native Vallejoan and son of one of those “Boys," hopes to share their story in his new book citing testimony from many Vallejoans who witnessed first hand the life in Vallejo during that time.
